User forced Intel DG1 graphics card to work with AMD processor
A 9550pro insider discovered a user on the Chiphell forum who was able to run an Intel DG1 graphics card in a computer with an AMD Ryzen processor. The surprise of the situation lies in the fact that it was previously announced that this graphics was incompatible with the red motherboards.
A user with the nickname Mikasa_9993 purchased an Intel DG1 video card, which has a graphics chip with 80 execution units, from Gunnir. The incompatibility of this graphics with AMD motherboards did not bother him, and therefore he disabled the CSM in BIOS to start a PC with integrated Vega 8 graphics from his Ryzen 7 5700G processor, which allowed using HDMI from DG1 to display the image. As a result, the user managed to get the DG1 to work with a supposedly incompatible motherboard.
There is actually no point in buying a DG1, but the fact that it works with, as stated, incompatible hardware is extremely interesting. In benchmarks, this video card shows rather sad results, but this could be due to the fact that the Ryzen 5700G does not support PCIe 4.0, and the DG1 comes with a PCIe 4.0 bus cut to 8x.
