RPG Cosmic Fantasy Collection (tentative name) Developed for Nintendo Switch. PC engine CD

Edia Co., Ltd. announced on June 24 that the development of Cosmic Fantasy Collection (tentative name) has been decided. The compatible platform is Nintendo Switch, which will be distributed after December 2022.

Cosmic Fantasy Collection (tentative name) is a set of RPG Cosmic Fantasy Adventure Shonen Yuu released in 1990 and Cosmic Fantasy 2 Adventure Shonen Van released in 1991 to Nintendo Switch. It is a work I did. In the first work, Yu and Saya, the main character, adventure on the planetary Nogg. While meeting with friends, we battle with the enemy. In the second film, the stage moves to the planet Idea, and the new protagonist, Van and Rim, heads for the rescue of a childhood friend who is exposed to a dark magician.

Both original versions of both works were released for PC engine CD-ROM², featuring visual scenes that incorporate character voices by animation and voice actors in earnest. In this series, a love story between the hero and the heroine is also drawn. In this transplant, the atmosphere and feel of the PC engine version of the PC engine version will be reproduced as it is, and the fans at the time will feel nostalgic, and we want modern game fans to enjoy a wide range of new discoveries.

The crowdfunding campaign has been launched on Makuake according to the development announcement of this work. Since it is implemented with ALL IN type, this work will be developed without reaching the initial target amount of 3 million yen. If you invest 5500 yen or more in the form of support purchase, you can get this work.

Depending on the plan, you can also get the right to publish the name to the credit, various goods, a collection of setting materials, and a collection of visual scene storyboards. In this project, Kazuhiro Ochi, the original author of the Cosmic Fantasy series, also cooperated. Eddia, who works on this work, has acquired the intellectual property rights of several retro game titles, and has released Dream Warrior Valis Collection last year as the first reprint. In this work, as in the case of the Dream Warrior Valis series, there is a desire to enliven the early Heisei masterpiece games and increase new fans.
